About me

Lara xo
I was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia a little over 30 years ago. After finishing my bachelor's degree in Defense studies from the Faculty of Social Sciences, I moved to Canada, where I still live today. In April 2020, I moved into a Promaster with my fiance and our dog Ella, and that's when my van life journey started.
While I never was an athlete, I always enjoyed sports and outdoor activities. But my life was a constant pendulum of striving for a more active lifestyle and healthier nutrition to darker times, 'fuck-it days', and 'couldn't be bothered to work out' mood. Wanting to learn more about healthy eating, I completed the Precision Nutrition Certification Program. Applying the principles of mindful and intuitive eating has helped me regulate my weight, think less about food in general, eat better consistently, enjoy all the food groups, feel great in my body, and improve my digestion. My performance in the gym has increased as well.

The emphasis is on the importance of behavior change and long-lasting dietary changes.
Yoga Renew - 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certificate
2023 - ongoing
A 200-hour certified yoga teacher is knowledgeable in fundamental concepts, philosophy, and practices of yoga and can lead classes for all levels. Through the course, I am gaining knowledge in various yoga styles, including physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation techniques.
